If you’re hoping to run a successful ice cream parlor, I don’t need to tell you how important the actual ice cream and other ingredients are. Without mastering this area, you just aren’t going to see much in the way of business or satisfied customers. So that part you probably already have nailed down (if you don’t, you should).
It’s also important—nay, essential—to think about how you plan on servicing this amazing treat to your customers. Obviously, you’ll need ice cream cups to do it. But what about the materials that will make these cups? Have you given much thought to them? It’s easy to look at ways of cutting your overhead by going with lesser quality cups and other materials. Coffee cups and lids are another area where it can seem like you could easily save a lot of money. However, you need to think about what the cost will be of going with lesser materials.
For one, it can look like you really just don’t care (which might be the case). Lesser materials can also affect the way your product actually tastes, which is never going to be for the better. So do yourself a favor and spend as much as you can on getting the best possible materials for your store.
